* * * BE ADVISED * * *
Due to the rising costs of the rigid holders and the additional mailing costs due to their weight - we have had to cut back on using rigid holders for EACH CARD. We will now be placing 1 or 2 cards in the first 2 hard plastic sleeves, and the additional cards will be secured in paper with a rigid on either side of them for stiffness. We don't feel that this will have any adverse affect, as the cards will still be well protected.
All individual cards with a purchase price of $50 or more - WILL BE MAILED IN THEIR OWN RIGID SLEEVE - REGARDLESS OF THE QUANTITY OF CARDS.
We thank you in advance, for understanding. |
|
* * * So that nothing happens to your card/cards in the mail - each postcard leaves here in a protective sleeve, as well as, in an individual rigid holder. Muttiple card lots, will have a protective sleeve only ~~UNLESS~~ stated otherwise in the individual write-up..........S/H fee FOR ANY NUMBER OF CARDS, is only: $2 to the US & CANADA and $3 for INTERNATIONAL orders. |

S01191_DPO_DOA old pc ATCHISON, KS abt 1906
Postcard: Kansas Titled: Atchison, Kansas 1906 Driven from Home in the year of the terrible crops in Kansas Whatever was planted has grown so beyond control that houses are wrecked, fences demolished, buildings pushed aside, traffic ways obstructe; and all plans for harvesting and moving the produce seem to be unavailing. The 1906 is on the card but my sticker on the sleeve is hiding it Showing: a comic rendition of people walking by a farmstead where the corn is pushing the house over and bumpkins have crashed thru the fence Artist signed: a couple of the squigles on the lower right area look as if they might be signatures, but an not sure Publisher or Manufacturer: From the Kansas City Times - which I believe is the newspaper of that era. Series or Number: N Postmarked: Huron, KS in 1906 which is a DPO cancellation as well as a doane cancellation Divided/Undivided back: U Used: Y Addressed to: Mrs Mabel Kelly of Quechee, VT Condition: minor corner wear
Note: Pix have been taken with the card inside a plastic sleeve and the number is on the sleeve, not on the card. The plastic may have distorted the image just a little or there may be marks or shadowing from what I use to take my pictures on, so therefore if you would like a better pix sent directly to you – just ask.
