Colorado real photo postcard that shows 2 views; picture on the left is titled Independence Rock and the one on the right Baloon Rock Monument Park? with hand dating of 1912 December, Colorado with the one on the right showing 2 men to give you a size perspective - baloon could be mispelled and it could mean balloon / back: This rock that is called Independence rock is 575 feet high It has a USA floating up on top. A man built a ladder of gas pipe clear to the top. Then he went up and put this flag there. Now you may not think this is possible but it is for I have saw it with my own eyes. It is in what they call Monument canyon. The other picture is a large rock balancing on some clay dirt and has some different things growing on top. It stands on a small hill of its own. Will tell you more about this man? later / photographer isnt identified, nor did the writer sign his name, but am sure that it is probably one of a kind
