G03188 BRIDGE AMBASSADORE BRIDGE This is an old black and white postcard of the Ambassador Bridge that has both Sandwich, Ontario and Detroit, Michigan on the face of the card / back of the card says it's the longest international suspension bridge as well as all its statistics, ie: length main span, total length, height over river, # of wires in each cable - also says Always Open No Waiting / litho'd in Canada / slightly bumped corners.

F03045~ MI-Detroit *FOUNTAIN CAPITOL SQ PK This post card shows a spraying fountain with nice plants and flowers in front of it with a couple of people walking near it (don't see them too good) / postcard is postmarked Detroit in 1911 and the wavy lines has a C and possibly a 1 / the color has chipped off on the corners and along the edge.


 

F03048~ MI-Detroit *1916 WHITNEY BLDG This is an old post card of the Whitney Building in Detroit Michigan showing a park area in the front of the building / postmarked Detroit, Michigan in 1916 and written to Miss Bernice Leutz in Yale, Michigan / postcard does show some color loss on the edges & the corners.

 

G03281~ MI-Detroit *UNIVERSITY from above This post card shows the University of Detroit's campus, from above, like a bird's eye view / Metrocraft - 561 near name & 43087 on bottom right / postmarked 1950 / postcard has only slight bumping to the corners.
 

G03379 HULBERT MEM'L or Hurlbut Mem'l DETROIT, MI This post card is of the Hulbert Memorial in Gladwin Park - Detroit, Michigan - but I have since been notified that the actual spelling is Hurlbut and not the Hulbert that is on the face of the card / 7162 in the lower right corner of face / postmarked but am unable to tell if 1913 or 1918 or ?? / large corner fold in the lower right corner, small chip out of the card on the upper left hand edge and corner bumping.

F03184~ MI-Detroit *WOODWARD AVE 1916 Post card is titled: WOODWARD AVENUE, LOOKING SOUTH FROM DAVID WHITNEY BUILDING - DETROIT, MICH / this card shows old cars in the street as well as a couple trolleys and the rails in the street / C T American Art - R57266 / back states: Woodward Avenue is named in honor of Judge Woodward, one of Detroits foremost citizens in the pioneer days, and stretches approximately north and south. At the foot are the ferry docks where boats leave regularly for Windsor, Ont, Belle Isle and Bois Blanc Islands / postmarked from Detroit in 1916 / corners are showing wear - worse being top left.

G03180~ MI-Detroit *LAKE CABIN PALMER PK This is an old post card that is titled: Log Cabin & Lake, Palmer Park - Detroit, Mich / Wolverine News Co of same - printed in Germany - No 626 / postmarked Detroit with Station C in the flag part of the cancellation / The senders' note states that Senator Palmer of Mich was born in this cabin / couple of the corners are gone.
 

I03095~ MI-Detroit *WAYNE COUNTY BUILDING Postcard is titled Wayne County Building Detroit, Mich / Souvenir Post Card Co / undivided back / postmarked Detroit, Mich 1908 from Sta D(Station D)/ corners are bumped with color loss and the card isn't as bright as it once was.
 

I03175~ MI-Detroit *NIGHT view showing lights Postcard is titled: Pontchartrain Hotel and Hammond building by night, Detroit, Mich / showing buildings in the area all light up as well as the trolleys in the street / not exactly sure but with a magnifying glass I believe that you can see an address of: 7 Font/Fort Street - Canadian Pacific and Pere Marquette above the same doorway / the back of the card states: This view of Campus Martius shows the Hotel Pontchartrain, Soldiers and Sailors Monument built in 1881 at a cost of $70,000. The red building at right is the Hammond Building. The electric sign on top of building is one of the finest in the west and when in action gives a description of the famous Chariot Race of Ben Hur. / pub by the Wolverine News co of same / divided back / postally unused / some chipping of color off from the edges of the card

A04138 new MI CENTRAL STATION - Detroit, MI Michigan postcard titled: New Michigan Central Station by Night, Detroit, Mich / shows a trolley off to the left and people and cars in the front of the lit building / back states: The New Michigan Central Station is located near Michigan Avenue between Fifteenth and Seventeenth Streets, covers twenty one acres and the total cost is $15,000,000. There will be eleven tracks in the station that will accommodate 135 passenger coaches. It will have all conveniences, such as a complete Drug Store with special facilities for the care of Invalids and Change Room where travelers can at nominal cost obtain Shower Baths and make a change of clothing. Accommodations for passengers will not be outdone by any Railroad Station in the World / C T Photochrom / minor corner wear
