I04108 San Antonio, TX - 1907 CARNEGIE LIBRAR Texas postcard of the Carnegie Library in San Antonio, Tex / back: The Carnegie Library at San Antonio is one of the finest edifices in the city. Mr Andrew Carnegie gave $50,000 for the building, and the site cost $15,000. It has an endowment fund, the income of which, together with a special tax levied by the city, maintains its work. It is under the countrol of a board of Trustees / Raphael Tuck and Sons Post Card Series - No 2478 / undivided back / postmarked Corpus Christi, Tex 1907 / a couple of places where the color has come off the face when something was removed - jam in the center of the bottom edge, a couple of pin holes and the corners show wear with color loss

D04288 SECOND MISSION tower San Antonio, TX Texas linen postcard titled: Tower Portal and front of San Jose, Second Mission, Built 1718, San Antonio, TX / Mission San Jose, built in 1718, was the second of several Missions, named after St Joseph by the Franciscan Monks, and was used in converting the Indians. It was also used as a place of refuge from hostile Indians.
